Today is MLB The Show 23’s official release date for everyone (early-access was four days ago) and also happens to be a day one add for Xbox Game Pass. Xbox Game Pass is a video game subscription services from Microsoft. Both services grant users access to a rotating catalog of games from a range of publishers and other premium services, including Xbox Live Gold and EA Play, for a single monthly subscription price.
The gaming subscription comes at a cost of $15 for console and provides Xbox Live Gold — required for online play at a standalone price of $10– and free games, deals, and perks.
When Sony decided to finally push the only simulation baseball game on the market to Xbox users, the decision to add the franchise to Game Pass came directly from the MLB, with the goal of bringing game to more players and baseball fans.
